Is there a Credit Crunch?April 21, 2008
• It is important for any consumer thinking of buying a home to know that there is no credit crunch for qualified buyers taking out conventional loans for under $417,000.
• This market continues to operate normally because loans up to this amount can be purchased by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and have the implicit guarantee of the federal government.
• While underwriting standards may have tightened for all loans, credit-worthy home buyers should have no problems finding conventional, conforming
mortgages at very attractive rates.
• In fact, today’s conventional mortgage rates are affordably priced in the range of 6 percent for fixed-rate, 30-year loans.

Low-E glass is an important part of the energy efficiency and long term value in any new home. Windows and doors are openings in the insulating envelope of the home and could lead to energy loss in cold climates. Miller Brothers use only high efficiency Low-E glass in all windows and patio doors. Check out the benefits of Low-E in one of these web-sites of our window suppliers. www.andersenwindows.com/servlet/Satellite/AW/Page/awGeneral-3/1151512920204 or www.proviadoor.com/Windows/VinylReplacement/Glass.aspx
