The economic stimulus law has major benefits for new home buyers. It contains an $8,000 first-time home buyer tax credit for the purchase of a principal residence.
The tax credit does not have to be repaid as long as you occupy the home for three years.

These homes earned the highest possible rating of 5-Stars Plus and far exceeded the ENERGY STAR minimum standard of 85.
